The Opportunity
As a member of the Worksite Operations leadership team, you will bring deep understanding of the Worksite marketplace and its operations allowing you to have meaningful conversations and immediate impact with your business partners.
Specifically, you will be responsible to develop and drive the operations Supplemental Health strategy & execution plan to support worksite business growth goals and initiatives.
The Team
The Worksite Operations unit is a team within MMUS. This position has primary responsibility for leading the Worksite Supplemental Health Operations. Specific aspects of this role include:

Define, develop & drive Worksite Operations plan to expand Supplemental Health offering; establish program to build processes & workflows from underwriting to claims processing

Review existing operational capabilities and drive for market leading customer experience

Maximize long term success consistent with MMUS Worksite strategic objectives which often requires balancing the often-conflicting needs and considerations, both short term and long term, of a wide variety of constituencies, ranging from external clients, producers, and vendors to other internal areas (Legal/Compliance, Finance, Service, Technology, etc.)

Drive Supplemental Health Product Practices and Systems; building methodology and establishing standards of practice that are appropriate and consistent with MassMutual, Worksite, and MMUS Product objectives

Drive decisions and execution, collaborating with other areas to ensure that results and implications are appropriately understood and socialized.

Monitor SLAs and ongoing trends, e.g. competition, distribution, demographic, technology, etc. and refine strategy accordingly

Oversight of new business capacity and risk management

Accountability for exception review

The Minimum Qualifications
-
Deep and thorough understanding of Worksite Supplemental Health insurance products and landscape. Ability to translate this information into innovative strategy recommendations.

Expert level knowledge of industry best practices and go-to-market strategies.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to document complex issues, methodologies, and resolutions such that others can readily understand them

Understanding of the Worksite business, voluntary benefits, VUL, DI landscape including competitive environment, customer challenges, and industry and regulatory trends.

Collaborative leader who can support and respect other within matrixed teams

Proven success juggling multiple priorities through strong project management skills, attention to detail, leadership, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and insights in order to provide clear direction for marketing briefs and strategic planning

Demonstrated ability to impact and influence peers

Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Strong Team Leader

The Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree and Product Owner/Agile certifications Preferred

Based in Springfield MA with WFH ability and occasional travel to Springfield MA Home Office

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Salary range $140-170k (commensurate with experience) + bonus and LTI eligibility
