To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring a Content Designer, with a deep toolkit of skills to join fellow UX practitioners of the User Experience & Design team (UXD).

The Impact:

As a content designer at MassMutual, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Use content writing and design to help our customers secure their futures and protect the ones they love
  • Help shape and incorporate MassMutual’s value proposition throughout MassMutual.com and other platforms
  • Collaborate on MassMutual’s Blueprint design system team to stand up and consistently implement MassMutual style, voice and tone, and content patterns.
  • Design information flows and copy for web and mobile applications, including engaging customers from awareness to conversion and nourishment 
  • Transform business requirements into a strategy for how content should be used to meet business goals and solve real customer problems
  • Change how MassMutual financial professionals connect with and serve their customers
  • Reform how customers interact with financial solutions like like insurance and investments
  • Deliver and iterate on new, innovative, omnichannel experiences
  • Influence product lifecycle by imagining the future state
  • Partner with our team of user researchers, user experience designers, and user interface designers 
  • Advocate for the use of fresh design tools and ethical content design practices

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in content design, content curation, technical writing, computational linguistics, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Psychology, Computer Science, Design/Fine Arts, or related field
  • 2-5 years experience applying research to the design process 
  • 2-5 years experience conducting workshops and engaging stakeholders

The Ideal Qualifications

  • A great collaborator who is well-versed in Agile methodologies and the role of design.
  • Experience applying research to the design process 
  • Experience conducting workshops and engaging stakeholders
  • A proven approach to storytelling and conversation techniques. 
  • Demonstrates command of writing fundamentals, including grammar, style, and information architecture.
  • A continuously collaborative and inclusive mindset
  • Well-versed in a variety of design problems, information architecture needs and common user patterns.
  • Great at giving and receiving feedback, collaborating with and coaching other designers.
  • A talented verbal and visual communicator who becomes a trusted partner of product managers and business stakeholders.
  • Great at putting just enough detail into wireframes to garner great feedback. 
  • Interested in and adept at learning new technologies — enough to understand trade-offs between development time and impact to the user experience. 
  • A great collaborator who is well-versed in Agile methodologies and the role of design.

Salary Range: $107,700.00-$141,300.00 Apply
