The MassMutual Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) gives aspiring actuaries hands-on experience, structured exam support, and a clear path to leadership opportunities. Through rotational assignments across various business areas, you’ll build both technical expertise and a broad understanding of the insurance industry.

Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who are analytically driven, motivated to progress through actuarial exams, and excited to grow their careers in a collaborative environment.
ALDP Core Program (Early Career)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related)
- At least one actuarial exam passed
- Commitment to pursuing Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a MassMutual actuarial intern
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel (experience with programming languages like Python, R, or SQL is a plus)
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
ALDP Advanced Program (Experienced Professionals)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related)
- 4+ actuarial exams passed
- 3+ years of actuarial or related professional experience
- Commitment to pursuing Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Strong technical skills (e.g., Excel and other analytical tools)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Experience owning and improving business processes and delivering actionable insights
- Ability to make recommendations and navigate ambiguity
- Experience with actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, GGY AXIS)
- Programming experience (e.g., VBA, Python, R)
- Strong collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
