Event Technology Consultant
Event and Conference Management Team

The Opportunity

The Event Technology Consultant sits on the Event and Conference Management Team reporting to the Director, Event Operations.
As an Event Technology Consultant, you will support meeting and event stakeholders consulting on the event technology elements to execute a successful meeting or event. Specifically, you will build meeting registration sites, event mobile apps, virtual events/webinars, surveys, and reporting within the CVENT platform. In addition, this role will lead on-site event technology execution at MassMutual conferences.
The Team
The Event and Conference Management Team consists of experienced event planning, production, and technology professionals who plan and execute MassMutual’s meetings and events. Supporting both domestic and international events across the enterprise, the team collaborates with all MassMutual organizations.
The Impact:
As an Event Technology Consultant, you will directly influence meetings and events through these responsibilities:
- Build and maintain registration sites, email communications, mobile apps, reporting portal, webinars/virtual event platform, and surveys within the Cvent platform in alignment with MassMutual’s standards.
- This position will consult and communicate with clients both internal and external on how event technology solutions can best achieve program goals and provide guidance on event technology design and best practices.
- Manage and maintain relationships with event technology partners as assigned
- Manage reporting and data within the system to ensure we have accurate records.
- Lead project management and support API integrations within event technology platform
- Uphold accountability by creating and managing technology timelines for meetings and events
- Understand and implement general event technology tasks - create, edit, delete, manage user profiles, analytics
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience with Cvent platform
- 2+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and graphic design
- 5+ years of experience with MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- 5+ years of experience with database management programs
- 5+ years of experience with Android and iOS user interfaces and ecosystems to aid in the downloading, installation, content display and use of mobile applications
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed for event execution
- Must be available to travel within the US and Internationally to support on-site event technology activations at conferences

- Strong communication skills with clients and internal team members that is clear, concise, and professional
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and balance client needs
- Possess strong technical and data management skills
- Build strong relationships and comfortable working with different personalities
- Creative and pro-active problem-solver
- Experience supporting the event planning lifecycle
- Experience with a project management platforms, such as Airtable
- Cvent certifications a plus

- Project management/program management skills
- Organized and able to plan appropriate project timelines, work backward from deadlines, identify milestones and owners, and execute against a plan

- Ability to think and adapt quickly to a fast-moving range of issues while remaining calm under pressure
- Ability to be proactive, anticipate and problem solve quickly
- Strong attention to detail
