Job Description
The Opportunity
As the Investment Platform Consultant- Advisory Platform, you will support the Corporate Registered Investment Advisor (CRIA) business. Primarily focusing on maintaining, enhancing and providing white glove service for the Wealth Management Services (WMS) platform. Additional opportunities exist in supporting the Tamarac and Orion platforms. The role requires a working knowledge of the Advisory business as well as an understanding of the technology platforms that support both Investment Advisory business and Clearing and Custody operations. Project management skills and ability to work independently, while collaborating as needed, are critical skillsets to the role.
The Team
This team works in a collaborative manner as product development and project management by implementing the service features they develop. Our team members share a passion for wanting to have the best investment advisory platforms in the industry. They always place the client first in delivering their wealth management platform and programs and share a passion for working with advisors. The growth of the platform has been outstanding, moving from $18 million of AUM only a few years ago, to $94 billion of AUM today.
This is a fast-paced team with vast responsibilities and a heavy workload. The ability to prioritize, collaborate and think critically are key.
The Impact:
Investment Platform Consultants are the main point of contact and subject matter experts for CRIA product lines. You are tasked with further developing the advisory platform and its features and be responsible to deliver these initiatives completed and communicated. Examples of initiatives include, but are not limited to: streamlining billing, client reporting, asset classification, program mergers, improving system productivity, creating product training, writing program manuals, compiling securities lists, developing new workflows, training internal business partners, hosting external training sessions, data mining and solving complex issues.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Experience with workflows and project management are essential to the success of this position.
System testing and problem solving to achieve desired results.
Collaborating with multiple departments (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Operations, Top Investment Advisory Representative councils) to deliver high demand solutions.
Serve as key contact and resource for strategic product firms and product subject matter expert for cross-functional departmental initiatives.
Coordinate marketing initiatives with strategic partners.
Negotiate and facilitate product and service agreements.
Create and maintain department policies/procedures.
Help educate producers on available products/programs that may fit client needs.
Review and determine viability or new product requests for further consideration.
Implement new products.
Provide product updates and training to product sponsors and internal staff.
Assist in planning conferences.
Perform and administer business and compliance review of sales material produced by sponsors.
The Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years' experience working in a Broker Dealer or RIA
FINRA Series 7 at time of application or must obtain within 180 days
3+ years' experience facilitating or participating in project management or strategic initiatives
The Ideal Qualifications
FINRA Series 7 at time of application
3+ years' experience with the Envestnet platform
3+ years' project management experience
Knowledge of Envestnet, the MMLIS Wealth Management Services Platform
Deep working knowledge of Investment Advisory and Broker Dealer Products and the overall financial service industry
Strong analytical & research skills
Strong Excel and/or Alteryx skills
Project management and system testing experience
Advanced Education/Industry designations
