Relationship Manager - Client Experience and Service, MMSD
Full-Time, Boston or Springfield Office (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
MassMutual Strategic Distributors is looking for a motivated insurance professional who ispassionate about delivering excellent service experiences and building relationships to outperform our competitors in the third-party distribution market.
The Team
MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD) is MassMutual’s dedicated, third-party distribution channel focused on building strong relationships and forging new ones with experienced financial firms and professionals. With a diverse and relevant portfolio, including whole life insurance, disability income insurance, fixed and variable annuities, and hybrid life/long-term care insurance, MMSD is partnering with hundreds of financial firms to meet customers where they are with the financial solutions they need.
The Impact:
A Relationship Manager supporting the Annuity line of business will be an integral member of a talented team of professionalsfinding expedient solutions to service challenges and fulfilling the business needs of our valued third party/independent distributors. The partnership provided through this role will set MassMutual Strategic Distributors apart from our competitors and help to drive more business to our third-party channel.
Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Establish and grow relationships with internal and external partners. Participate in business operational meetings and events, learning the unique operational models of our distribution partners.
Manage day-to-day operational activities of our distribution partners through the delivery of tailored, concierge level service on incoming requests.
Collaboratively work with internal partners across sales and operations to support business development and ease of doing business for our strategic distribution partners, advocating for the customer experience.
Drive to resolution all firm back-office, wholesaler, and key account manager escalated service issuesindependently and with the support of the team.
Identify opportunities to improve internal and external processes to mitigate escalated service issues, partnering with key stakeholders to drive positive change and outcomes.
Leverage available technology and data to support and apply basic analysis techniques to support decision-making and identify trends or risks within assigned responsibilities.
Produce and distribute daily, weekly and/or monthly reports related to our distribution partners’ business.
Demonstrate agility and flexibility to work on or support special projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned
The Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of relationship management, or comparable concierge level client services experience
2+ years of insurance, or financial industry experience
Estimated travel 10%: ability to travel to firms which can be located anywhere in the country
The Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business/finance or related field of study, or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of life, disability, annuity, LTC, or hybrid insurance products
1+ year of experience with 3rd Party distribution
