Job Description
The Team
This role will be part of the Office of Enterprise Resilience. The team is comprised of business continuity, emergency management, third-party resiliency, technical disaster recovery and emergency tool and notification roles.
Operating in a face-paced environment, we strive to improve overall company resiliency and minimize impacts from potential disruptions. We partner with groups across the enterprise and coordinate recovery from business disruptions. As a result, this team does provide on-call support.
The Impact:
- Accountable for the validation and sync process of employee data from HR Systems to integrate with the company emergency notification tool. This enables the ability to effectively communicate critical information to impacted stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical acumen to support the administration of the Technical Toolset (xMatters, Alertus, ServiceNow & Everbridge)
- Provide collaborative support to business partners to identify and execute technical solutions based on business and end user needs.
- Conduct Database and Integration Maintenance to ensure daily processes and required updates are successful.
- Maintain the resiliency and integrity of toolsets, while identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.
The Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in technology development, application support, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience of technical knowledge and coding with JavaScript and PowerShell
- 3+ years' experience with troubleshooting and problem solving in a technical environment – accountable for technical solutions
The Ideal Qualifications (DESIRED SKILLS)
- Working Knowledge of Git (GitHub), Linux (VI Editor), Databases (PostgreSQL) and Event Management & Notification Tools (xMatters & MicroFocus).
- Experience working with enterprise tools, such as ServiceNow, xMatters, Alertus, Everbridge and MicroFocus.
- Experience working with VSCode using Javascript, ReactJS and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Emergency Management as well as Major Incident and IT Alerting
- The ability to demonstrate agility – understand customer needs, anticipate problems/challenges and respond proactively
- Experience with assessing business needs (non-technical) and developing technical solutions to business needs.
- Understanding of simple network management protocol, SNMP.
