Job Description
This role is a direct report to the Head of ETX Governance & Risk Program and will drive the development and delivery of an enhanced Governance framework for information technology (“IT”), working closely with relevant Subject Matter Experts, the development and delivery of a risk management education program for the ETX organization, the coordination of internal/external audits and regulatory exams/requests, and the administration of the enterprise governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tool. This is a senior position within the ETX Governance & Risk organization, leading technology governance activities and engagement with key stakeholders. This role designs and embeds integrated and dynamic IT governance processes to enable the organization to meet strategic objectives and deliver value while effectively managing risks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of professionals in the implementation of governance practices across ETX.
- Coach and develop staff to enhance business, technical, governance and risk management knowledge such that the team represents subject matter expertise in these areas.
- Develop, implement and administer a streamlined end-to-end governance system, integrating existing processes to provide a simplified end user experience with effective guardrails, oversight, and increased automation.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure key requirements and controls are defined and embedded into governance processes with effective monitoring and reporting for adherence.
- Develop a process to continuously evolve governance practices in response to emerging technologies, organizational changes, and regulatory expectations.
- Implement a governance process for High Value Assets (“HVAs”), including but not limited to definition criteria, identification, validation, and controls documentation.
- Develop and implement a risk management education program to develop a risk conscious culture in the ETX organization.
- Oversee the development of metrics and reporting to provide transparency into the effectiveness of governance and risk management practices across the ETX organization.
- Administration and maintenance of the eGRC tool for ETX.
- Coordination and support of internal/external audits, assessments and regulatory exams/requests.
- Maintain the ETX Governance & Risk website, including keeping artifacts current and relevant.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field; CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in governance, risk, compliance, technology and/or security, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Experience developing and coaching team members with various levels of experience.
- Previous experience in designing/implementing governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of widely accepted good practice frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO, etc.).
- Skilled at interpersonal communications and relationship building; active listener.
- Experienced at creating high-quality materials for an executive level audience.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to develop clear, efficient and logical approaches that focus on providing a seamless experience while effectively managing risks.
- High attention to detail and quality, while balancing both practicality and value-creation.
- Ability to drive outcomes and resolution of issues and barriers to progress.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
