Job Description
The Opportunity
MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD) is looking for an experienced and passionate Key Account Manager. You will be responsible for management of all aspects of assigned institutional (non-wholesaled) strategic accounts and own the overall relationship with the strategic partner responsible for achieving sales results, market share growth, driving penetration into the firm through superior service. You will keep a keen eye on operations, client/advisor experience and overall account satisfaction. You will collaborate with other teams and lead initiatives related to operations, service, marketing/promotion, compliance and legal.
The Team

MMSD is making significant investments in technology, sales, operations, marketing, and product development. Our strategy will be driven by the MMSD Annuity Team working across the enterprise where we will prioritize a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial culture.
The Impact:
Responsible for the overall relationship with Institutional Strategic Partner: sales results, market share, engagement plan, service, expanding product offerings, operations, compliance and overall client satisfaction.
Coordinate and facilitate regular (minimum quarterly) in-person stewardship meetings with assigned accounts.
Understand the assigned accounts’ culture, systems, requirements and develop value add programs to increase market share.
Responsible for the development, execution and achievement of firm business plans.
Ownership of initiatives/work efforts/projects supporting assigned accounts. Accountable for budget management, coordination of project execution and managing communications.
Measure returns on investments with overall firm relationship.
Develop, align and execute all promotion, sales and support services for assigned accounts to achieve growth objectives.

The Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager, with a focus on life or annuity products
Series 6 & 63 at time of application
Required Travel: Up to 25%
The Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of annuity key account management experience
Strong knowledge of annuity solutions and marketplace
Strong working knowledge of financial services industry, third-party distribution, operations and supporting technology
Must be a detail oriented and well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity
Excellent organization and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects under pressure
Strong analytical, verbal, written communication and presentation skills required
Compensation: $90K-$110K base range plus sales-based incentive opportunity resulting in a total target compensation package of $150K-$175K
