Financial Communications and Performance Measurement Consultant
Financial Communications and Performance Measurement organization

The Opportunity
As a Consultant in Financial Communications and Performance Measurement, you will work in a fast paced, innovative and collaborative environment, in partnership with several other teams at MassMutual, including Treasury, Controllers, Actuarial, Strategic Finance Business Partners, Corporate Communications, and Executive leadership to support a best-in-class communications team.
- Develop financial presentation materials for key internal and external stakeholders (e.g., ELT, Board, HRC) to ensure cohesive messaging for MassMutual across CFO
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team to accelerate financial insights across CFO to ensure consistency and alignment of key messaging across various forums
- Support and improve key Financial Communications processes, including coordination of key deliverables, strategic timelines and related communications in support of messaging for key internal and external stakeholders by working collaboratively across the Finance organization
- Support the creation and implementation of an analytics center or excellence to drive financial insights in support of key decision making
- Support the tracking, reporting and governance of key annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan metrics, including regular reporting to the ELT and HRC
- Drive the long-term incentive expense forecast; creating and maintaining key control evidence for our internal audit process
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset and champion innovation
The Team
The Financial Communications and Performance Measurement Consultant is an individual contributor to the Financial Communications and Performance Measurement organization, which is a dynamic team of individuals with diverse backgrounds that are focused on:
- Serving as an important contact for development of financial messaging and related analytics
- Ensuring insightful, compelling, unified storytelling, that is timely and transparent, in support of MassMutual’s financial performance
- Developing an effective financial dialogue between executive leadership and internal / external stakeholders
The Impact
- Provides a strong connection point between the different aspects of the CFO organization and improves the efficiencies of information sharing
- Directs effective communications with key internal audiences in support of MassMutual’s financial performance
- Collaborates closely with various internal teams to educate and inform key stakeholders through financial messaging, and to strengthen relationships
The Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience
- BA or BS in business, economics, finance, accounting or actuarial science
- 1 + years of experience with MS office tools (Outlook. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- 1+ years of experience with ThinkCell or other financial presentation tools
The Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with financial communications
- Life insurance industry knowledge
- Experience with planning tools such as Microsoft Planner and Confluence
- Experience working in a Finance transformational setting; driving change and managing competing priorities
- Self starter, detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups
- Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills
