Sales Support Consultant

The Opportunity

As a Sales Support Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the sales teams by providing administrative and operational support. You will need to build and maintain a holistic view of the landscape of who we do business with, what products are available, and how we serve and support them across the team to enable the best results and exposure for the sales team. You will be responsible for managing inquiries from the sales leads and national accounts teams, coordinating with various internal departments to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

The Team

The MMI Sales Enablement Office provides our sales teams with the resources, expertise and support needed to sell efficiently, build relationships, and expand our presence in the marketplace. The team is comprised of various sales support roles, all partnering to support the effectiveness of the organization. As a small team, we support each other, each looking to roll up our sleeves and contribute where needed. 

The Impact:

As the Sales Support Consultant, you will serve as the quarterback for sales leaders and our national account teams, providing them the support they need to provide the best client support and win new sales.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Own and maintain master servicing list for both Wealth & DCIO, including overall heatmap of firm and platform availability - Partnership program agreement execution, invoice submission and tracking
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales teams when needing to navigate the broader organization to get answers and resolve client questions and issues
  • Support the sales teams with administrative tasks, such as meeting prep, bringing together ideas to create cohesive presentations, providing meeting minutes, and managing take-aways and timelines
  • Coordinate and track RFI requests, ensuring data is complete and response is timely
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively support the sales teams
  • Prepare trusted partner emails for National/Strategic Accounts team for all clients who have exposure and who receive an RFP
  • Support retention efforts across MassMutual Investments strategies by pulling info from databases for teams
  • Build and execute on comprehensive onboarding plan for all new sales team members
  • Identify areas for process improvements within the sales support function and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions

The Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience liaising across departments
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or sales support
  • 1+ year of experience in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • H.S diploma
  • Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in the mutual fund or asset management industry
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Successful track record of building relationships
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
