Job Description
Workplace Experience Hospitality Consultant
Full-Time (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office)
Boston, MA or Springfield, MA
The Opportunity
The Workplace Hospitality Consultant is the business driver behind MassMutual experience & culture. This role reports directly to the Head of Campus Workplace Experience. Based out of Springfield or Boston, this individual is responsible for enterprise-wide operations which foster culture, employee engagement & satisfaction, as well as brand awareness. Areas of oversight include supervision of food service vendor and external vendors/partners.
The Impact:
- Keeps operations team focused on the critical components of operations to drive employee satisfaction and the desired financial results.
- Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how Operations is performing against budget & how to maximize & enhance financial impact
- Establishes a vision for product and service delivery on properties
- Holds vendors accountable to Standard Operating Procedures and KPI’s
- Strives to improve service performance
- Creates initiatives to drive employee satisfaction & engagement
- Manages external partnered vendors to provide additional services for employees
- Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding operational goals to produce desired results on a continuous basis
- Communicates on a regular basis speaking with leadership teams and employees to understand business needs and assess operational opportunities
- Drives to be the employer of choice by utilizing innovation & strategy in all aspects of food, beverage, & retail business
- Establishes a vision for product and service delivery on properties
- Observes service behaviors of employees & seeks out feedback to drive culture & engagement
- Experience with vendor management- SOW’s and SLA’s, and KPI’s
- This role is expected to be onsite (Springfield or Boston) a minimum of 3 days a week
- Some travel to other offices is required- approximately 20%
The Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in management operations, hospitality, or related professional area
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
The Ideal Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in the management operations, hospitality, or related professional area
- 2+ years leading cross functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and employees
- Quickly & efficiently solve problems and makes improvements
- Make continuous improvements to existing programs and procedures
- Can turn ideas into actionable initiatives
- Establishes, directs, and implements medium to large range work plans or goals for specific work groups
- Hospitality mindset focused on the providing an outstanding experience to employees
