Business Intelligence & Analytics Consultant

The Opportunity

As the Business Intelligence & Analytics Consultant, you’ll work directly with the Head of Advice & Financial Planning to develop reporting capabilities to help grow Financial Planning’s footprint in the field. You’ll work towards installing Practice Management capabilities that drive High Net Worth Client Acquisition, Net Flows, and growth through Practice Efficiencies. In addition, Practice Acquisition and Transition support processes will be enhanced to help grow and retain the Net Field Force.

The Team

You’ll work with a high performing team focused on enhancing the advisor and client experience to drive business results through Financial Planning, Practice Management, and Experienced Advisor onboarding leading the way for organic and inorganic advisor growth. The team is comprised of industry experts in Financial Planning, Tools and Platform design, Policy, Data Science and Sales.

The Impact:

Align with the Business Intelligence and Analytics Team Lead on key priorities:

  • Responsible for analysis and problem solving as relates to data, types of data, and relationships among data elements within a business system. 
  • Produce/deliver results through Business Intelligence tools. With general guidance responsible for the collection, organization, analysis and dissemination of significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Perform single source data extracts with simple data transformations. 
  • Interpret requirements into meaningful insights. 
  • Identification/development of key performance indicators applicable to analysis. 
  • Profile, categorize, and analyze quality of data. Derive meaningful insights through visualizations. 
  • Monitor and organize all field and team requests and perform all timely assessment for all data/analysis requests. 
  • Develop presentation materials, and meeting collateral for Advice & Financial Planning leadership team.
  • Design visual representations and report strategic connectivity to department and enterprise goals and objectives.
  • Visualize data for the organization.
  • Consult while providing directional guidance to data users.
  • Perform reporting and system testing related to system enhancements in scheduled timeframes.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or H.S. diploma and 5+ years of business analytics experience.
  • 3 years of experience in client-facing analytics, strategy consulting, or financial analysis.
  • 1+ year of SQL or related data querying tool experience
  • 1+ year of experience manipulating and working with large amounts of information
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience working with clients, advising on marketing/business performance, and influencing decisions with insights and measurement.
  • Ability to analyze datasets, identify actionable insights, and communicate findings via presentations and/or dashboards.
  • Ability to present simple and compelling stories to audiences of all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Salesforce Experience
  • Tableau and/or SAS software experience
  • Excel VBA experience
